The Christ Church Cathedral Arboretum houses an 82 rank Aeolian-Skinner organ. The Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1141 was designed, installed and personally reviewed by G. Donald Harrison in the First Church of Christ Scientist in Beverly Hills in 1948. In the 1993 Northridge earthquake church was severely damaged, and the organ was sold to the Crystal Cathedral. In 1996 it was installed under the supervision of Fred Swann in the former Crystal Cathedral Arboretum.
In 2014 when the sanctuary was restored the organ was extensively cleaned, refurbished, updated, and reconfigured for use in the Catholic mass.
Charles Raasch from CLR Resources produced a beautiful sample set of this landmark instrument. However, it was missing (photorealistic) landscape and portrait jambs. Charles was so kind to implement my graphics into an official update, which was released to the public on December 30, 2016.
