Irvine, CA (USA)

The Concordia University Center for Worship and Performing Arts (CUC) in Irvine (California, USA) has two organs: a 3-manual Casavant organ from 1988 with 42 stops, 57 registers, 59 ranks, and 3290 pipes and a smaller 2-manual Schlicker organ from 1972.

The organ is at the front of the room with some pipes exposed. The movable console has a traditional style with a roll top.

The drawknobs are placed in vertical rows on angled jambs. Swell shoes/pedals are balanced with standard AGO placement. Combination Action: Computerized/Digital system. AGO Standard (concave radiating) pedalboard. Crescendo Pedal. Reversible full organ/tutti thumb piston. Reversible full organ/tutti toe stud. Combination action thumb pistons. Combination action toe studs. Coupler reversible thumb pistons. Coupler reversible toe studs.

Charles Raasch from CLR Resources created a sample set, which combines both organs into one full-featured composite organ. I added the photo-realistic screens using elements taken from original photographs.

After CLR Resources and Evensong merged, this sample set is now available from Evensong.
