The Christ Church Cathedral Arboretum in Garden Grove, CA, USA, houses an 82 rank Aeolian-Skinner organ. The Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1141 was designed, installed and personally reviewed by G. Donald Harrison in 1948 at the First Church of Christ Scientist in Beverly Hills. The church was severely damaged in the 1993 Northridge earthquake and the organ was sold to the Crystal Cathedral. In 1996, under the supervision of Fred Swann, the instrument was installed in the former Crystal Cathedral Arboretum.
When the sanctuary was restored in 2014, the organ was extensively cleaned, refurbished, updated and reconfigured for use in the Catholic Mass.
Charles Raasch from CLR Resources produced a beautiful sample set of this iconic instrument. However, it lacked (photorealistic) landscape and portrait jambs. Charlie was so kind as to implement my artwork into an official update that was released to the public on December 30, 2016.
Following the merger of CLR Resources and Evensong, this sample set is now available from Evensong.
